Any transition or life event can leave us with uncertainty and possibly a change in how we see ourselves and our future. Our therapy SHIFT group is designed to enable members to share their experiences and provide an outlet and safe place for talking as well as exploring coping strategies and practical tools to help support self-resilience and emotional coping skills for the future.
Some people prefer to have individual therapy, but for many being part of a group can be beneficial, hearing and finding support from others who may be having similar struggles. If you are suffering with anxiety, loss or generally feeling overwhelmed with life, then group therapy may help.
Group therapy is also a cost effective way to find help and support.
Our group therapy is led by both Carol and Jane.
Practicalities for all our groups
GROUP SIZE: We limit each Shift group to 8 members to have enough time and space for everyone to be heard. The groups are locked – which means the membership stays for all the sessions – this enables the group to build up trust without the disruption of a changing membership.
ONLINE: All groups will take place via Zoom.
NUMBER OF SESSIONS: All groups will have a total of 6 sessions and will run weekly (sometimes fortnightly). Each session will last 90 minutes.
DATES AND TIMES: We have a choice of dates and schedules – most of our groups will run at lunchtimes or early evening during the week.
COST: £150 for the 6 sessions.
